Latex Paint Disposal


For disposal of small amounts of latex paint, it can be dried with an absorbent like sand, sawdust, or kitty litter and then placed out with regular garbage with the lid off the can.

For large amounts of latex paint, store for future use.

One-Day Collection


The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency coordinates several one-day household hazardous waste collections in the Spring and Fall. One-day collection hours from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on these dates.
