July 3, 2015 at Lake Park High School West Campus
The tradition of fireworks is returning to Roselle again this summer on Friday, July 3 at Lake Park High School West Campus, 500 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. The 2015 fireworks display is jointly sponsored by the Village of Roselle, Mission Church, and the Exploding Turkey Trot 5K.
Donations toward the fireworks display will continue to be accepted.
Party in the Park
Mission Church's community outreach ministry For the 10 is also sponsoring the "Party in the Park" celebration before the fireworks, with a concert featuring popular local cover band Sixteen Candles starting at 6:45 p.m. The fireworks display will follow at dusk.
In addition to a community celebration, "Party in the Park" is being utilized to promote awareness of For the 10's Project Just Start. The goal of Project Just Start is to provide backpacks fully loaded with school supplies to children from local families facing economic challenges in the area that Mission Church has designated "The 10." The 10 includes the communities of Addison, Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Glendale Heights, Hanover Park, Itasca, Medinah, Roselle, and Wood Dale.
Last year through Project Just Start, over 2,000 fully loaded backpacks were provided to students in need from 41 different elementary schools in "The 10". For more information about Project Just Start, please visit For the 10 online.
