Application Process

The Roselle Fire Department is currently accepting applications for entry level firefighters. Interested candidates can purchase and complete applications on the Industrial/Organizational Solutions website by Friday, June 25, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Minimum job requirements: U.S. Citizenship; High School Diploma or GED; Valid Illinois Driver’s License; Valid IL EMT- Basic certification; Illinois Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certificate issued by the OSFM; 21 to 35 years of age by date of hire unless otherwise exempt by statute; CPAT and Ladder Climb verification (cards valid if issued 6/25/2020- 6/25/2021) must also be valid at time of hire (12 months prior to date of hire); IDPH Paramedic License by time of hire.

Testing information

Candidates must attend the mandatory written exam on Saturday, July 24, 2021. Doors for sign-in open at 8:30 AM- please arrive no later than 9:00 AM with a photo ID (driver’s license, state ID) to sign-in. No late admittance. The testing location will be provided to eligible candidates prior to the exam date. Candidates that successfully pass the written exam will be invited to attend an oral interview on Saturday, August 14, 2021 or Sunday, August 15, 2021.
