The Village Board froze water, sewer, and capital improvement surcharge (CIS) rates for 2020 when it adopted the Village’s 2020 budget on December 9, 2019.
The water, sewer, and CIS rates were scheduled to go up in 2020 as part of a previously approved 5-year rate increase plan adopted back in 2016 to pay for water and sewer projects throughout the Village. Upon review in late 2019, it was determined that the rate hikes were unnecessary for this year due to favorable competitive bid results for various water and wastewater projects over the last four years, debt service payments being less than expected, and the timing for when projects were completed.
More information about the water and sewer system improvements and the 2020 Budget are available on the Village’s website.
