The deadline to purchase Village of Roselle vehicle stickers has been extended to September 30, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Vehicle stickers will go on sale in July, with renewal applications expected to be mailed the week of July 27, 2020. All 2019-2020 stickers will remain valid through September 30, 2020, even though the expiration date is listed as 5/31/2020.
The vehicle sticker program was initially delayed for this year until late July. This was done by Executive Order of the Mayor to defer payment for residents whose incomes are negatively affected by the COVID-19 crisis, and to push out the time frame because Village Hall is currently not open to the public. The additional extension allows additional time necessary for the reopening of Village Hall and for a longer deferral for residents.
September 30 will become the permanent annual deadline for the Vehicle Sticker Program, with the Village Board voting to amend the Ordinance governing the program at its May 26, 2020, meeting. The Ordinance requires that every owner or operator of a motor vehicle (car, truck, motorcycle, and trailer) who resides within the Village or whose motor vehicle is based within the Village must obtain a Roselle vehicle sticker. The cost of vehicle stickers for passenger automobiles and trucks with B plates is $45. Visit the Vehicle Stickers page for additional information.
