Village Hall will reopen to the public on July 6 with new sanitation and safety procedures in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The building will reopen with a reduced hours schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Consistent with the Governor’s Restore Illinois Plan and the Village’s commitment to providing a safe environment for conducting business and performing necessary transactions, the hours between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. are dedicated as separate operating hours for elderly and vulnerable populations at Village Hall.
The lobby in Village Hall has been reconfigured to accommodate physical distancing, and glass partitions have been installed at counters where staff and the public interact. Extra hand sanitizer stations and cloth face coverings or masks will be available in the lobby area. Visitors will be required to wear face coverings when entering Village Hall.
Village Hall has been closed to the public since March 16, as the spread of the COVID-19 virus began in the Chicago area. With municipal buildings closed, the Village’s employees worked on-site and remotely to ensure that essential services like public safety, fire protection, emergency medical response, and water and wastewater service continued to be offered in Roselle.
Appointments will be required for visitors to the 2nd floor at Village Hall, and for all other municipal buildings, including the Fire Station, Police Station and Public Works Facility. Usage of the Village’s online E-Services (http://www.roselle.il.us/9/E-Services) and the payment drop box located outside of Village Hall are strongly encouraged when possible to conduct businesses with the Village.
Visit the Coronavirus Information page for more information about the Village’s pandemic response, and for additional information about the virus.
