Roselle Winterfest
Trolley Stop
A holiday trolley will make regular stops along the trolley route down Roselle Road, Main Street, Howard Street, and Maple Ave. Hop on between 2:30 and 4:30 PM for a special guided trolley tour by Village Trustee Wayne Domke.
Character Meet
"The cold doesn’t bother them anyway,” so Arendelle favorites – Anna & Elsa – are back for timed meet-and-greets throughout the event!
Carolers
Look out for Victorian-style carolers strolling throughout Town Center and bringing yuletide cheer!
Civic Plaza Entertainment
Be dazzled by local stars this Winterfest! Join Lights, Camera, Dancin’, the Roselle Fine Arts Academy, and more with live entertainment at Civic Plaza from 2-5 PM.
Festive Face Painting
Get in the holiday spirit with some festive face painting at the Roselle Fine Arts Academy and be sure to stop inside the newly opened Happy by Chocolate for some sweet treats!
Gingerbread House Contest
Stop by Pollyanna’s to vote for your favorite Gingerbread House. There will also be s’mores for all ages and seasonal, fun size brews for adults!
Ice Sculpting
The Roselle History Museum will be the site for ice sculpting, hot cocoa, and cookies. You can also pick up ornaments and copies of Remembering Roselle for yourself or as gifts for family and friends.
Holiday Karaoke
Spread cheer and sing loud for all to hear at the holiday karaoke booth located at the Gayle A. Smolinski Municipal Complex.
Letters to Santa
The Park District will host “Letters to Santa” inside Village Hall. Stop in to write the perfect letter to Santa and make a Centennial-themed popsicle stick craft.
Ornament-Making
The Roselle Lions Club will be helping children make ornaments in the Roselle Fire Department basement – one to take as well as one to hang on the Community Holiday Tree – while the American Legion Auxiliary serves cocoa and cookies. Here you will also find Santa himself and Centennial logo-engraved wooden ornaments crafted by Lake Park High School students.
Ornament Scavenger Hunt
Girl Scout Troop 55800 will hide ornaments all around Town Center so attendees can participate in the Ornament Scavenger Hunt during Winterfest. Find the most ornaments and win a prize – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes available! Meet at the Community Christmas Tree at 4:45 PM for a confirmation counting and the awarding of prizes.
Popcorn
Boy Scout Troop 408 will be serving FREE, hot popcorn outside Village Hall and the Roselle Fire Station. Pop by for a savory treat!
Santa’s Sleigh
Stop by the fountain next to Rockstar Salon and Spa for a photo opportunity and timed meet-and-greets with Santa, Anna, & Elsa.
Snowflake Scavenger Hunt

Snowball Toss
Join Trinity Lutheran in the Main Street breezeway (between Juice & Berry and All Things That Woof and Meow Too) to try your hand at the snowball toss game!
Window Walk
The Main Street Merchants have teamed up to design a very, merry window display down Main Street (a.k.a. “Sweet Street).
CELEBRATE THE SEASON - 1:00 p.m.
Festivities begin with Celebrate the Season hosted by the Roselle Public Library, 40 S. Park St., with Santa visit "fast pass" distribution starting at 12:30 p.m. Live music with Laura Doherty and the Heartbeats will entertain from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Santa is scheduled to arrive by fire truck at 1:45 p.m. and will greet the children and hear all about their holiday wish lists along with the reigning Rose Ambassador starting at 2:00 p.m.
ROSELLE WINTERFEST 2:00-5:00 p.m.
Roselle Winterfest will feature strolling carolers, food trucks, an ice sculpture, trolley stops along Main Street, the lighting of the Community Tree & more! Families may bring an ornament from home or make one at the Roselle Fire Department during the event to put on the Community Tree, which will be lit at the conclusion of Winterfest. (Ornaments placed on the Roselle Community Tree will be considered donations. Ornaments will not be returned to participants.)
