Roselle's EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES (EMS) include Licensed Paramedics operating two (2) front-line, and one (1) fully equipped reserve Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance. In addition to these front line ambulances, our fire apparatus are equipped with ALS and BLS equipment.  The RFD responds with an ambulance and fire apparatus to emergency calls. Many personnel on our fire apparatus are also paramedics who respond and provide the same quality care as the personnel on our ambulances.

RFD paramedics work under guidelines established by the Central DuPage Hospital Emergency Medical Services System.   Paramedic training consists of approximately 2 years of classroom and practical experience. Continuing Education is an important part of the EMS program. Roselle paramedics are required to attend monthly EMS in-station training provided by instructors from Central DuPage Hospital.  Each are required to pass exams at the end of each class in order to maintain their licensure from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
