Doggie Do’s and Don’ts

Dog on leash with owner

Warmer weather means spending more time outside with your furry friends! The Village is sharing a few reminders to make sure everyone has a paw-sitive experience with pups in our community. When you head outside, please remember:

DO Leash Your Dogs

Per Village ordinance, dogs must be leashed when off their owner’s property. This includes training exercises and walking your dog.

The Roselle Park District offers passes to the 4 Paws Dog Park, where pups can enjoy off-leash play. Learn more at www.rparks.org.

DON’T Bring Dogs to Public Events

For the protection of attendees and for the welfare of dogs, Village ordinance prohibits dogs (excluding service animals or official law enforcement dogs) at annual special events such as the Lions Carnival, Rose Parade, Fourth of July Festivities, and the Taste of Roselle.

DO Pick Up after Your Pet

Whether you're walking in your neighborhood or at a public park, please remember to pick up after your pet! Make sure you have pet waste bags with you each time you and your pup head out for a walk.
