How much would it cost for me to connect to the Village’s sewer system or water system?
Since sewer mains and water mains are usually on one side of the street (typically opposite sides) and since one or both of the mains do not exist in some areas of the Village, the costs to connect to the nearest sewer main and/or water main is different for each property. Consequently, the best way to determine whether one can connect to the Village’s sewer system or water system is to call Planning & Zoning Staff at (630) 671-2821.

Keep in mind that a property must be within the Village of Roselle in order to connect to the Village’s sewer system or water system. Those owners of properties not within the Village, such as those in unincorporated DuPage County including portions of Bloomingdale Township called “Countryside” and “Medinah” as well as those in unincorporated Cook County including portions of Schaumburg Township, must petition to annex to the Village of Roselle before connecting to sewer or water.

The Village typically annexes a property within three or four months after receiving a petition for annexation. If annexed to the Village of Roselle then the owner of the property will receive all the benefits of being in the Village such as quicker police service, cheaper garbage pickup, etc.; however, the owner of the property must follow all the Village’s regulations they may not be accustomed to such as obtaining vehicle stickers for every vehicle they own.
